The Abbates

June 9, 2015

Yesterday we spent much of the day painting an 'accent wall' on one side of the entryway and under the counter. When the wall under the counter gets kicked it can't be cleaned because the flat paint would just wash off. We were going to tile but Alesa opted for a washable paint, then we could paint the whole wall. I also finally installed window tinting the other day on the bedroom windows. We bought it about a year ago and figured since it was getting hot again it should be installed and it seems to be working pretty well. While we were golfing Yankee Clipper on Sunday, I commented that it was the second longest executive course in The Villages. Alesa asked, "Which is the longest?" and I answered Bacall. So, yesterday after we painted, and I asked "Where do you want to golf?". Without hesitation she says "Bacall!", when she usually says "I don't care." Today, Charlie and Cheryl Abbate came over for a visit. We toured the house, half The Villages, had lunch at the Glenview Country Club, toured the other half, visited the Eisenhower Rec Center and took a golf cart ride before they left at 4. . Their kids were all gone at camp, etc. so they had a free day and we had a wonderful visit. Hopefully they can come again and participate in some activities.
