Alesa's Bike Rack

October 28, 2019

Met with our insurance advisor on Tuesday and switched our Part D to move from $58 to $13 a month. Also attended the men's water volleyball tournament that day: not on a team so we just watched. Gene Fales is back in town for a few weeks so they stopped over on Thursday. We will golf with them at the new pitch and putt course on Wednesday. A lot of his visiting time is spent with his mother and sister in Ormond Beach. Found a bike rack on the internet (Talk of the Villages) and bought a $300 rack for $50. Went right down to Fenney with it for Alesa to ride the Hog's Eye trail. It was early so I finished my newspaper puzzles in the picnic pavilion. I played water volleyball on W-T-F&S but Alesa sat out because she hurt her finger at water volleyball on Wednesday and is sitting out for a while. It is in a splint but is not broken. You can see the splint in the bike rack photo. She golfed yesterday but only putted. After golf we went to Craig & Janet's to check on his progress. The effects of the knee replacement were a little tougher than expected but he is recuperating well. We also saw a red-shouldered hawk sitting on their back fence while we were there. Last night we drove the golf cart up to Lake Sumter Landing to see Lt. Dan's Band. It was a show put on by the Gary Sinise Foundation and featured him and his band celebrating veterans and first responders. It was the biggest crowd I have ever seen at the square. The stage was set up by the lake and the square and surrounding streets were full of seats and people. It was very crowded so we walked around the square (through the crowds), listened for a little while and headed home. Today looks like a cleaning house and catching up day. Whoh, just been called to help the cleaner.
