Almost back to normal

July 12, 2018

Been back for a while but so many things have been keeping us busy. Janie passed away while we were gone so we have been spending time with Mike as extra support. Lois sold her house and moved on the 5th and we have kept busy helping her pack and dispose of unwanted items. She was particularly stressed about her golf cart so I told her not to worry, I would sell it for her. I did sell it in a few days and at the price she wanted. I also sat in on her closing to make her more comfortable. She and her cat are now settled in NC with no open issues. My cousin Paul was having problems with his legs so he went to see a doctor on the 3rd and had emergency back surgery that evening. Alesa and I sat with Carol during the surgery in Ocala and followed her home after Paul was settled in his room. He is doing fine and is in rehab for the next week or so. Alesa's knee is feeling better and we have been 'playing' platform tennis most days and we are back to golf on a regular basis. Today we mentored for the 'Camp Villages" platform tennis session. 'Camp Villages' are activities for residents' grandkids and this activity was for teenagers. Bailey and Bridget have done Dragon Boating in the past as part of the 'Camp Villages". Craig is back from Nebraska so he stopped up on Monday and we played pickleball with him and a neighbor as Janet was still in Texas. We have been having a bit of rain and the last week has been pretty hot, but, we are in Florida. Craig is scheduled for shoulder surgery on Monday so we will be heading to Tampa to sit with Janet during the procedure. Also, the neighbors saved their problems while we were away so I have been busy fixing clocks, watchbands and bicycle brakes, hooking up computers, downloading pictures and patching shower grout.
