Annika's Weekend

February 7, 2011

This weekend was Annika's birthday weekend with nana & papa.  Her birthday is Friday but hopefully we will be on our way south on that day.  We have been busy getting things in order for our trip and we picked Annika up on Friday afternoon after school.  Saturday we went to Bey's Rock shop where she picked out 5 rock carved animals; elephant, squirrel, dog, penguin and giraffe.  They are carved from Peruvian Rhyolite and should be a good addition to her rock collection now that they have all been properly named.  On the way home we stopped by the Bear Creek Resort.  It was rainy, icy and foggy but we got a good idea of their snowsport facilities.  We then, per her choice, went to visit Bailey and Bridget and I was able to pick up mail, prescriptions and our spare satellite dish while the kids played.  Sunday we got donuts and Annika and Nana went to see "Twisted".  We then took her back home so she could make the Super Bowl parties with her family.  This week we continue to get ready by packing, attending a few doctor/dentist appointments and loading the trailer.  So, God willing and the creek don't rise and they get the storage area's roads plowed we can depart this winter wonderland for warmer climes on Friday
