Another great week

March 11, 2008

Saturday was Janet's birthday so we celebrated and began redoing her master bathroom.  Zachary and Cathy also stopped by for the morning.  Alesa began making a pattern for the seatcovers she is going to make for the plane Craig is building.  He is renting a hanger shortly so we will move the pieces and start making them look like an airplane.  Yesterday we recived a flat rate box Jeff mailed on Saturday stuffed with our mail.  Nothing important except for tax documents, plus a few I didn't know I was getting so now I'll have to file an amended return.  We have been riding our bikes almost every day.  Last week we stopped to see Mary Carol Brown and our niece, Becca Crawford who was staying with her and spending an enjoyable week with a friend away from Erie, school and, oh yeh, the snow.  Her sister Caitlin and their cousin Annie Brown will be down on the 18th for their week in the sun.  Can't get used to the lizards (Cuban Anoles) scurring around as we walk in the grass.  It's like the grass is alive.  But they can stay as long as they keep keeping the bugs away.  Got up this morning at 2:28 to see the shuttle take off but the storms between us blocked the view.  After a long bike ride and a walk on the beach, spent much of the day repairing the damage to the trailer wheel wells cause by the blow-outs.  They are now better than new.  After a great dinner of Alesa's Gourmet Gumbo with Craig & Janet, we finished the night watching the sun set in the Gulf.  And, watching the sandpipers and plovers fight over dinner in the surf.  I must say, I am getting tired of my long hair with the heat especially since Alesa and I started sharing hair care tips.  She also keeps likening me to 'Frizzy Monica".
