April Fool

April 1, 2021

We are now into April and planning that this is our 'breakout' month when we head north to visit long lost relatives and friends. We are planning to drive to Philadelphia to visit Mike and family toward the end of the month and then, possibly, on to Erie before returning to Florida to plan our next trip to Arizona for Jeff and family. Alesa has been having neck pain for a while and after much investigation she received a steroid shot a few weeks ago. So far it is working well. She had a follow up appointment today for a second shot but the first one worked so well it was decided to wait until she actually needs another one. I had my regular 6 month oncology appointment with the VA today as a teleconference. My bloodwork looks good, so all is well. Water Volleyball was cancelled today due to cold and wind so we had a chance to do some shopping for our Easter brunch with friends. I also bought some craft polystyrene and molded a replacement nose cone for the one we lost when we launched a few weeks ago. The golf cart bridge over the Florida turnpike has been opened so we have been golfing the courses south of the turnpike. Our garden is doing well regardless of the weather. One minute we worry it's too hot and the next too cold. It has been mostly in the 80's but sometimes lows into the 40's. Usually humid and almost always windy. Noticed the grout was getting a little dingy so decided to clean a small area which turned into a large area which was more than this old body should have tried. A few sore days and I will have to finish.
