On Monday we walked around the house with the house painters and asked them to smooth out the lines between where they sprayed and where they brushed, paint over some ladder marks and a few other small blemishes.  All in all we are very pleased with the paint job but expect them to fix these items while we are gone before final payment.  Later that day we put up new shutters.  On Tuesday we took a number of items to the trailer and got the rest of the items ready to go.  On Wednesday I had a dentist appointment for two fillings, packed the truck with the rest of our ‘stuff’, picked up the trailer and headed to Erie from there.  We got into Lampe Campground at about 8:15 and set up the trailer and then off to bed for a good night’s sleep.  Thursday morning my brother Bob stopped by to see us on his way to work, later we went grocery shopping, did chores around the trailer, set up satellite TV, got set up as camp hosts and off to Bob and Cathy’s for a visit.  Friday we moved the trailer to the official host site and fine tuned our setup and waited for Mike and family to show up. They called from the Peninsula so we had them go to the North Pier and we walked out on the South Pier and we waved and yelled back an forth.  Since we all left our semaphores at home we talked on our cell phones.  Then they were off to swim, stop at Barbato’s to pick up some food then off to Bob’s for dinner.  We ate at home then joined them at Bob’s before going to Whippy Dip for ice cream.  Today we met Mike and fimily at the peninsula to survey the recent tornado damage and ride bicycles.
