Boxing Day

December 26, 2012

All the snow melted on Christmas day with the exception of the snowgirl, although she is listing a bit. We spent Christmas relaxing and visiting with the new next door neighbors. They are natives of Baghdad who the UN has relocated to the US as refugees, an older couple with two adult sons. They are very nice and we enjoyed learning about their past and their plans. Today was again a time for relaxing, eating leftovers and playing with our gifts. We got a little more snow but now it's just raining. It was great having the grandkids over but we spent much of today figuring out how to turn the control lock off on the washing machine, scraping melted crayon out of the dryer and erasing messages and pictures from all the writing boards in the house. Tomorrow is our 43rd so we will have lunch at The Whip Tavern, a popular local English Pub.
