This morning was Alesa's first follow-up with the surgeon and he explained the surgery in great detail with many pictures. All is very well and she had her stitches removed. She still has to remain with her arch enemy. "The sling", for another 5 weeks but she was allowed to remove the bulky pad under the sling. Yesterday, just to give her some time away, we went to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum in the town of Superior in the mountains about 40 miles east of here. It was a beautiful day for a ride and a walk but we only managed to walk less than 10% of the available trails and are looking forward to returning and doing the site justice when we are more fit. Didn't see any groundhogs during our walk.
