Canada: St Andrews and Ministers Island
Steve drove us to Canada today and we had to get started early because they are an hour ahead of us and we are visiting Ministers Island where you can only visit during low tide because you have to drive on a 'roadway' that is only exposed during low tide. The tide there starts coming back in around one pm. We drove to the island over the exposed seabed and had a great visit touring the buildings and grounds and drove off in plenty of time. We then went into St Andrews for lunch. We ate at 'The Gables' one of our favorite places and Alesa, Steve and I had the fish chowder while Laura had the fish and chips. The ladies then did a little shopping before we came back to the US. Ministers Island was built up at the turn of the century by a railroad. Magnate from Illinois who built the Trans-Canada railroad. If you want to know more you can glean it from the pictures or look it up on the internet. Tonight we ate leftovers in front of the campfire before the bugs drove us inside for TV and drinks. Tomorrow, we head out to Phoenixville and Michael.
