Canyon de Chelly & Four Corners

May 22, 2007

We left Holbrook looking to an 80 degree sunny day and arrived at Mesa Verde to snow in the air and 40 degrees. On the way back from the hot tub tonight we looked up to the mesa and it was white on top because the trees were covered in wet snow. We stopped at Canyon de Chelly (de shay) on the way up here. The roads were wide and the parking lots had spaces for RVs so we spent an hour or so making about a half a dozen stops on the south rim. It was sunny but windy and a bit cool. Another beautiful place. We would like to have gone into the floor of the canyon with a Navajo guide, maybe next time. We stopped at the Four Corners monument and circled the marker. Ah, Crawford traveling, 4 states in under 30 seconds while pulling an RV. We are at the Mesa Verde RV resort.
