Catching Up
Still catching up from our trips but continue to golf and play water volleyball. Had dinner with Maloneys last Saturday and Craig and Janet came up on Sunday for a turkey dinner and to watch football. Alesa saw her doctor on Wednesday for a sore neck and arm and is having some tests done. We played 18 holes at the chip-n-putt course with the Fales on Thursday as Gene is heading back to Seattle to work this week. Have been dealing with Direct TV for the last 6 months to get our price down. I could always get them below $100/month but since AT&T bought them they have been giving me meager discounts so I have been paying over $130. Now that the holidays and travel are over I bought a Roku stick and am trying different services. Last week I cancelled Direct as of Jan 26th but they called yesterday and I am back with them for about $40 for the same service. Plus, they wanted to charge me to fix some problems I was having and now they will fix them for free. Plus, they gave me a $200 gift card. We will keep Roku as Alesa has fallen in love with the Acorn Channel (British TV) but we will cancel all the other paid channels after the free trials. Also dealing with Xfinity/Comcast to keep our ISP price down, but that is a different story. Our medical insurance now offers free fitness club memberships so, today, we joined the MVP Athletic Club in the Brownwood Town Center in the Villages, just a couple of golf cart miles away.
