Christmas Eve Day

December 24, 2021

Thought I would do an early posting before things get festive (crazy). Went to Paris Baguette, a pastry shop, to check out their goodies and bought a few before heading next door to the H Mart Elkins Park. It's a gigantic Korean food market with a lot of specialties. We browsed but it was not the right time to buy. Then off the WaWa for coffee and a tasting of the treats. Alesa wasn't hungry so I drank my coffee and ate a pretzel. We then drove some beautiful neighborhoods, park areas and countryside on the way to Freemans in Conshohocken. It is a candy and nut shop with every kind of nuts and candy where we used to shop. It is mostly bulk prepackaged in smaller bags. We bought a few favorites and Christmas candies we remember as a child. Then back to Mike's after a stop at Giant to add our purchases to his candies and treats for a taste testing and visiting. It was a fun and yummy time. This morning Alesa and I walked to McDonalds for a walk and some fresh air and to use some of my reward points before they expire. Lisa and Alesa are preparing dinner and Mike and I hung a mirror in the bedroom. We also set up the Christmas Eve Zoom session with Elyse in State College and Jeff's family in Arizona for our gift exchange. Merry Christmas! Looking forward to some wonderful family time.
