Christmas at home
Last night was another wonderful Christmas Eve with family, friends, gifts, food and fun. We had a pinata for the kids with candy, coins, toys and "nana-papa bucks" to be used to buy something they wanted but didn't get for Christmas. Alesa, of course, made sure we had way too much excellent food. After so many appetizers, the main meal was a 'chore' but we manged. After building the gingerbread house and a few rousing games of "jumpin' monkeys" we opened gifts and the kids played. Instead of letters to Santa, Jeff's kids put post-it notes on the fireplace for what they wanted. One of Bailey's notes said, "Santa are you real? Yes or No" . We didn't get too deep into the existentialistic philosophical repercussions of a negative answer. Hope he gets what he wants.
