Camp NanaPapa day 1. Since we have an olympic theme we all spent the night watching the Olympics while the kids settled in and set things up to their liking. The basement, which is Bailey's bedroom by night, has become their hangout spot where they socialize and listen to music as well as play and sing it. They have the keyboard on the stage, set up a practice drum pad and use the guitar. And the girls love to dance and sing in front of the mirrored wall.
Today started with handing out the shirts then a meeting to discuss the menu and the activities. Ellie and Bridget make dinner Monday and Wednesday and Bailey and Annika make dinner on Tuesday and Thursday with Friday being the cook off with the parents judging. We then all went shopping for the selected menu items. We then made a couple of gallons of root beer which will be ready Friday for the closing ceremony. Then we all played tennis and went to the pool to cool off and have some swimming events. E&B made mini bagel pizzas with corn and peas for tonight. The staff is exhausted, where do they get the energy??
