Coat-of-Arms

February 21, 2021

Alesa has been busy streaming courses on 'The Great Courses' and has been mostly focused on history but has also taken a number of cooking courses. She has taken courses and bought books on baking bread and has been busy practicing what she has learned. BTW, her baking results are excellent. She has even replaced her ratty old hand mixer and one day after I emptied the dishwasher I created a new Coat-of-Arms for her. We still keep busy with golf and water volleyball. Alesa got a new pair of glasses and during the exam she complained about 'dry eye'. The doctor asked her if she would be interested in participating in a study for a Swiss company's new drug for dry-eye. Since OTC medicines weren't really helping, she agreed. She went to their Mt. Dora office the other day and, after qualifying, she was given a supply of the product to apply three times a day and a hand held device to answer a series of questions at the end of each day. She goes back about every two weeks for a total of five times to evaluate the results. It is a blind study and if she was not on the placebo she will continue for another 7 iterations. Her eyes are feeling better so hopefully it is helping and as icing on the cake she is getting paid for her visits.
