Cold, cold, cold!

January 18, 2018

It has been cold for the last few days, going into the low 40's and high 30's at night but usually into the 70's during the day. But, last night it got down to 28 for our first hard freeze of the season. Alesa had a plant in a glass water on the lanai and much of the water froze. But we are enjoying wearing socks, jeans, long sleeved shirts and sweaters, just like up north. Supposed to heat back up the end of this week. Been busy this week renewing my passport. It would have expired before we left on our trip. For some countries your passport has to be good for six months after you enter the country or they won't even let you in. I took the picture, filled out the forms and mailed the application today using Priority Mail, as it includes my old passport with a check. The USPS Click-N-Ship website is very convenient to print postage and shipping labels so I can drop the envelope off at our mailboxes and forego the long lines at the Post Office. Today was also the Grand opening of a new Lowes just a few miles from the house. We continued on to the new Wawa that was opened here just before Christmas. We love Wawa coffee. Our pictures were in the paper yesterday for the TV we won. Another Atlas 5 launch is scheduled for this evening.
