Coming Home
Yesterday we breakfasted with friends then went to the Colorado School of Mines Geological museum, better known as the gem museum with Steve and Laura. We then headed off to Lookout Mountain and then to I-70 to go back to Denver from the mountains through the foothills as we have done so often in the past. We then said our good-byes and drove around Denver and to the area of our old apartment from about 20 years ago. Then to the airport early to beat another incoming storm. Boarding was delayed about 5 minutes due to lightning and we ended up being 10th for take off, but we landed in Philadelphia about on time and got home at 3AM this morning. We got up at 6 to pick up Bridget whom we will have for the week. We were back home in time for the township code inspection. We need a couple of smoke detectors in the basement and a fire-retardant cover over the attic pull-down stairs, both minor fixes.
