Took about three tubs of old newspapers down to animal control yesterday. We do this on a regular basis and they were really happy to see them as they were about out of material to line the cages. The weather continues to be cool which for some unknown reason really makes us tired. Volleyball has been cancelled a couple of times and I tend to feel much more alert when I am active. Maybe all the football we have been watching over the last three days is contributing to our lack of energy. Bought new rocket engines so we need to find a day with good weather and head down to Craig's for another launch attempt. The snow birds are back because it is getting tougher to find tee times. Been picking a bunch of peas every day and usually eat them on the spot. The other day I elected to cook them and they were very good. Don't know why but I looked up my maternal uncle on the internet and included his ship name in the search and was surprised with what I found. My grandparents had his picture and medals on their wall and I am not exactly sure what happened to them but my search showed that his purple heart has recently been sold over the internet. Most interested to uncover the chain of events. I have the letter from President Roosevelt notifying my grandparents that he had been presumed dead after missing in action for a year.
