Some new additions to the 'food' plants we are growing are celery, lemongrass and spaghetti squash. You can see a new stalk growing in the middle of the base cut from store-bought celery and placed in water. Alesa has been making lemongrass tea with some lemongrass from a friend and, she likes it so much, she is growing her own. She especially likes it with Bourbon. The squash is a volunteer and our best guess is that it's a squash, could be a melon. On another note, Alesa has bought some kefir grains and is making her own kefir (cultured milk) and experimenting with different flavorings. It is pretty good and I am drinking it as well.
