Alesa and I have both had our DNA tested for our ancestry. Alesa is Europe West, Scandinavia, Ireland, Italy/Greece and Iberian Peninsula while I am Europe West, Ireland, Italy/Greece and Great Britain. They just started providing areas in the USA where your DNA matches reside. This was very interesting since mine showed an area from Western PA to just past Chicago and this matches what I know about my relatives. Alesa's shows Western PA, Central Virginia and Louisiana. Her mom's family is from Virginia and her dad was born in Louisiana (Acadian). Scary accurate. After my DNA test I was contacted by a close DNA match who turned out to be my grandfather Crawford's younger brother's grandson who lives in Cincinnati. We continue to communicate and share family information. I continue to do very well with my recovery from back surgery to include swimming laps, chipping and putting and playing platform tennis with Alesa, actually I am just a 'target' for her serves and hit them back when they are close. Last Friday we went to Dawson's (Bunnie, Ed and Ann) for a fish fry. Ed brings down frozen perch that he has caught, Ann fries them up and Bunnie hosts. Paul and Carol also joined us. They were excellent, I do miss the Lake Erie yellow perch dinners we had while growing up. Our landscaping and gardening is growing well. Alesa's anyway, I'm just labor. The avocado tree doesn't look well but we have to determine if it is sick or just recovering from the winter.
