Erie Club and Dudenhoefers
Tuesday we made the first trip to the Gainesville VAMC for lab work and a doctor visit, everything went well, all good news, and I am now getting my medicine from there rather than Philadelphia. That night we attended the neighborhood AED responder meeting to get our keys to the units and test our phone notifications. Wednesday I had a cheesesteak lunch at the American Legion while Alesa went to her Ukulele class, she had a great time, strumming and singing with about 20 other ukes. I also had a great time with my Philly cheesesteak and a Yuengling draft. Last night we attended the Erie club pot luck dinner and had a good time visiting with old friends and meeting new ones. We were also able to bet on horse races held in the room. We won two out of five races and came out $2 ahead and won $20 at the 50-50 which was really a 25-25-25-25. Today we were visited by Fred and Kathy Dudenhoefer, friends/relatives who winter in Claremont. We gave them a house tour, the grand Villages tour by car, ate lunch at the Lighthouse Grille, gave Fred a short golf car tour and visited for a while before they headed back to Claremont. It was a great visit and we will have to head to their new place soon.
