The Erie Club is starting back up with meetings in October and the board met to plan the upcoming season. October is a Poker Run with Pizza but we like to have one meeting with 'professional' entertainment. A performer was recommended so we all went to Cody's tonight for a night out and to 'scout' entertainment. He performs every Monday night at the Brownwood Cody's and it was 2 for 1 appetizer night so we all had a great time. Then some of us headed to the town square to catch Rocky and the Rollers performing. And, BTW, all of our medical tests and appointments turned out well. Now it's time for the lovebugs to disappear and the muhly grass (Muhlenbergia capillaris) to turn pink. The southern end of The Villages is growing like crazy so we drove down to hike the 'Hog's Eye' trail this morning and look over the new golf course set to open next month.
