Erie Golf Tournament

March 14, 2020

Alesa and I were going to skip the tournament this year but at the last minute they needed to fill a foursome so I obliged but skipped the dinner. Alesa did play water volleyball on that day but skipped the last two days to rest and catch up on things that needed done or that she just wanted to do. I did enjoy the golf outing on Thursday and golfed with two ladies as the other man in the foursome backed out earlier that morning. I played rather well for the first 12 or so holes. And now I know why I don't play 18. Once I got tired the play degraded. It was a scramble (best ball) and the ladies played well so we finished 1 under par. We rotated the person taking a second shot by hole so the team got 4 shots like the other teams. Alesa hasn't been golfing for a while because her shoulder was bothering her but she is recovering and golfed last Sunday and felt good. She'll golf again tomorrow and we have a water volleyball scrimmage tomorrow afternoon to get our team ready for the senior games in late April. I got the tire off the Harley and took it into the shop today. They have to order the tire but should be done by Thursday. Haven't been shopping since the corona virus panic hit but we hear the stores are selling out. Not sure why people are buying out the toilet paper stocks, but they are. No cases of the virus in the area so far and we are being extra vigilant. Ronnie and Denny sent a text the other day that they are heading back north now. It seems to be a bad month for tires. Ordered 4 tires for the Explorer but they won't be installed until Thursday and we just developed a slow leak and have to top off the tire every day. The motorcycle tire went flat. And, backed the golf cart out of the garage the other day and a tire was flat with a nail in it. I plugged it but will replace two of the tires in the next few days.
