Erie Visitors

October 23, 2010

Today we have visitors from Erie.  My brother Bob, his wife Cathy and daughter Becca came down to attend Mike's annual tailgate party tomorrow afternoon.  They arrived this afternoon and got to test Alesa's new Pot Pie recipe and then we will head to Jeff's for a visit.  He and his family will not be able to attend the tailgate party because Bridget has been sick and is not quite well enough for the day out.  We went to see the movie "RED" on its opening day last Friday (Mike's Birthday) and really enjoyed it.  It is a toungue-in-cheek Bourne type movie.  On Monday, Ronnie Jones, my nephew (Helen's oldest) was in town for a seminar and stopped in to visit.  On Tuesday we drove up to Limerick to the Philadelphia Premium Outlets and I got a couple of pairs of Sketchers and Alesa got a pair of the all terrain shape-ups and has been raving about them since.  On Thursday night we went to a financial presentation at Ruth Chris Steakhouse and Friday we went with nine other couples and ate at an Amish family farm near Lancaster.  It was quite an experience and the home cooked food was excellent.  That morning I had my quarterly blood test and got my flu shot at the VA hospital.  I continue to be impressed by the service, friendliness and the welcome feeling I get there.
