This week I finished installing the carpet in the hallway and down the stairs.  On Friday we went over to Mike's where I cut back the framing on one of his windows so we can add the trim molding.  Then we went to Miss Ellie's school to watch her class' presentation of "The First Thanksgiving" after which they sang "The 12 days of Thanksgiving" which Miss Ellie wrote.  We then brought the girls home so Mike and Lisa could attend a concert downtown for Lisa's birthday.  They made gingerbread houses and Nana took them to see "A Christmas Carol" in 3D.  We had a sock fight on Saturday morning and I am still finding my balled-up socks everywhere.  We took them back home yesterday and got back in time to go to Schwed's for dinner with them and the Goodmans.  This afternoon we are going to Jeff's to see how he is recuperating from yesterday's hernia surgery.  I have an appointment with my surgeon on Tuesday because the hernia he repaired about 2 and a half years ago is back.
