Flagstaff
Woke up to about 9 inches of snow which grew to what looks like a foot during the morning. It was a light snow and Jeff shoveled the driveway and cleaned off the car after breakfast. The snowplows came through and we left for touring and shopping. We first went up to the Lowell Observatory which was supposed to be open, but the visitors' center was closed so we walked around the grounds. We walked to one of the telescopes and then around to include a path with a scale of the distances from the sun to the planets and beyond. It was very impressive and way more than we expected. We then drove across town on Route 66 to the campground where Alesa and I stayed a number of years ago. Stopped at Fry's for some grocery shopping to include dark chocolate cocoa. Back at the house we ate lunch and drank bourbon spiked hot chocolate and Danielle even had marshmallows.
