Football, baseball and motorcycles

October 16, 2008

It has been a truly glorious October to date except for the stock market and the Bears/Eagles game.  The weather has been just perfect; cool in the evenings,  warm sun in the daytime and color in the trees.  Alesa and I continue to go to Gold's gym every day for a good workout.  I typically pedal 20 miles on the bikes before working out on the nautilus equipment and Alesa walks/runs 5 miles on the treadmill before working out on the machines.  These together with Alesa's forced good eating habits should keep us living, loving and laughing for a good long time.  Sunday we went to Mike's annual tailgate party which was a great time improved by the Eagles' win.  Have been watching the baseball playoffs capped with the Phillies win last night to get to the World series which starts Wednesday.   We are headed to Erie tomorrow with a stop in Coudersport to visit friends.  Later next week we will be staying with Roni & Denny in a condo at Peak & Peak.  If the weather holds we hope to do some golfing.  On Tuesday I rode the motorcycle through the farmlands of SE Pennsylvania to pick up some tarps we left in the trailer and to visit Jeff & family.
