Frost on the pumpkin
The weather has been cool in the evenings lately. Usually in the low 40s and a few times into the 30s with frost. Back up into the 70s and 80s during then day although a few stayed in the 50s. Enjoying it mostly since we can wear jeans, long sleeved shirts and sweaters. Craig and Janet were up last weekend and we played a shortened game of pickleball, had a semi-Thanksgiving dinner and watched college football. Zoomed with the Niebauer clan on Sunday. Michelle set it up and all 8 sibling plus their mother/stepmother were in the meeting. It was good to catch up. Finished the 'Magic Puzzle' that Mike sent us. The finished puzzle could be separated into three pieces and when those pieces were assembled in a certain way it created an opening in the center. There was a second package of puzzle pieces which was then assembled to fill in that section. Didn't include a picture of the new finished puzzle as it would spoil the surprise for anyone who might get it. One day while golfing with our neighbor, Mike, Alesa tried a golf club that he had just bought and liked it. We took a picture of it and went to the golf shop so she could be very specific in a gift description. She tried the club in the shop and the clerk spent almost an hour with her on the indoor 'range' giving her a lesson. During the process I identified a set of clubs I liked and Alesa bought them for me for Christmas. They lengthened the clubs by an inch for me and when we picked them up I decided to buy Alesa her club for Christmas/Birthday. (She didn't want a whole set.) The next day we went to the range to try them out. We were both very pleased. We used them this afternoon for the first time when we golfed with Larry & Diane Carullo and they worked well. We both had Covid tests last Friday for no particular reason and both were negative. I had a test in July before a procedure but that was Alesa's first. Our son Mike suggested we do a 'Secret Santa' gift exchange as an additional gift activity this year so I organized it using 'Draw Names' on the internet. The hard part is knowing which delivered packages have to wait until the Zoom meeting on Christmas eve to be opened. Also, Jeff's family shares our Amazon Prime account so it's tough not to look at what everyone is buying. Finished all of the Thanksgiving leftovers, even the Pilgrim hat cookies.
