Golf Cart Ride
The second of 4 new bridges opened the other day So we took a long golf cart ride this morning over the newly opened Brownwood bridge, around some new southern villages, back across the Chitty Chatty bridge, stopped at the Wal Mart market for some milk and necessary leftover ham sandwich fixins' and headed back home. It was a 20 mile loop which went right by the soon-to-be-opened bridge across the turnpike which will enable golf cart access to the entire Villages. After we got home I went over to a large open area next to the Palmetto golf course and flew my drone for the first time. It performed very well and as expected but it was way too windy and it was having a little trouble holding its position. Since my 5 minute flight made me a veteran drone pilot I came back home and flew it out of our back yard. It is a small open triangle sheltered by three homes. It was sheltered enough to provide stable flight but I didn't want to fly above the houses. I got a lot of experimenting done but wind gusts in a confined area made me a little nervous and control a little shaky.
