We had a great holiday weekend with Steve, Laura, Betsey, Marc and Beth.  We went boating and swimming on Grand Lake,  Kayaking and swimming on Wabassus Lake and golfing on Campobello Island in Canada.  Alesa, Steve and I walked 18 holes.  On Tuesday, Marc and Beth flew back to Austin, Betsey went back to Calais, Steve and Laura went to work  and I went trolling for Salmon on Grand Lake with Lee Whitely.  Today  Alesa, Laura and Betsey went to a yarn shop and toured St. Andrew’s in Canada.  Tonight we are going to Art and Sally’s house/camp on the lake for dinner.  And , of course, what is a visit to Maine without a little bit of pain.  I was helping Steve clear a trail off his driveway and when I reached down to pick up a few branches, I was stung by a number of Yellow Jackets apparently protecting their nest.  It was not painful but one stung me on the bridge of  my nose so I was swollen around the eyes for a few days. They really must hold a grudge because Alesa was stung on the hand the next day while we were golfing in Canada.
