Grandkids weekend

October 20, 2009

Mike and Lisa went to the Downingtown homecoming so they dropped off Ellie and Anni until Mike's tailgate party on Sunday.  Saturday we went to Jeff's and picked up Bailey & Bridget, his wet saw, tile cutter and we downloaded new software to my Blackberry.  On the way home we stopped to see "Where the wild things are".  The kids liked it and I got an hour and a half nap.  Then back home for the kids to play and for me to continue working on the bathroom.  Bailey helped tack up some wainscoating.  We have made much progress overall.  The tub, surround and new faucet are in and working.  The sink is in and working and we are waiting for the floor tile to dry.  Sunday we took all four kids to Mike's tailgate party.  On the way over Bailey tracked his dad's progress on my cell phone since we share our GPS locations over the phone GPS.  We all had a great time until the Eagles got beat by the Raiders but that pain was eased by two Phillies wins at home.  Bob & Cathy drove to Dallas for our dad's funeral.  Three days down, a few hours at the funeral and three days back.  God bless them.  They must be acquiring those 'travelling' genes.  The Dallas family, who are very nice people, emailed the funeral tribute to us.  I have to admit it was hard watching the tribute to a 'family' man for one who was no more than a physical father for the family of six in Erie.  I can forgive but not forget.  What were we going through when those pictures were taken?
