Gulf Shores

February 7, 2008

This morning we walked around the park and visited with people.  Most of them are here for a month or more and consider this a hidden jewel with all the goodies the south waterfront has to offer less the traffic and the crowds.  After lunch we drove to Fairhope and down the east side of Mobile Bay to Gulf Shores and walked the beach.  On the way back we stopped for dinner at a local restaurant on the Fish River just north of Weeks Bay.  We mixed with the locals and had great meals of seafood PoBoy sandwiches and seafood baskets served by a waitress who had cut off the very tip of her thumb yesterday.  What a conversation piece that was, especially after I asked if she found it and what she was making.  Then back to the hot tub.
