We left home at about 3:30 AM on Friday and arrived at The Villages about 7:15 that night. I drove to just below Florence, S.C. and Alesa drove the rest of the way. It was a good trip except for some nasty rainstorms around Jacksonville. Yesterday we attended some open houses to look at various versions of our chosen floor plan, the Elm. We then met with Mitzi, our realtor to run through a preliminary design process. We then went around to different models to see 'full size' versions of our choices and review options. We had dinner at the "City Fire" restaurant and attended the nightly concert at the Brownwood Center. This morning we walked around the neighborhood and played some pool at the rec center pool hall. We then attended a few more open houses and stopped at our lot. Our new neighbors stopped out to introduce themselves, Dan and Dale Marx from Rochester, NY.
After some shopping we went over to our new neighborhood pool for a quick dip and ended up meeting everyone in the pool. We are having a great time!
