God bless America or more appropriate at this time God help America. Still taking time to recover from our road trip. As exciting as it was it was still very tiring so we are resting easy. Took the car in for its first checkup and oil change. It was due at 7,500 miles but we had 8,500 on it. No problems but we had an error message show up concerning the parking distance system but they were not able to duplicate it. It is still happening so I will take it back in next week to get a loaner and leave the car so they can drive it with monitors attached to try and capture and fix the error. Went to Jeff's yesterday where he cooked brats, made water ice, Alesa took potato salad and we all lounged in the pool. The 'kids' had gone to other parties but decided to return home in the evening to swim and watch the Gilbert drone show and fireworks from Jeff's backyard. The fireworks were good but we only lasted through half of it before returning home. We did enjoy the day and seeing the 'kids' again along with their significant others.
