Happy New Year

January 11, 2011

We spent a quiet New Year's Eve at home and I stayed up to watch the ball drop and then upstairs to kiss a sleeping Alesa a Happy New Year.  We are planning to get new Zodiak countertops so we have been busy measuring and shopping.  They will probably have to wait until spring since we will be leaving in a few weeks and heading to warmer climates.  We took the trailer in for inspection and, of course, it snowed.  We managed to get it back in storage before the next storm.  We have made reservations for a condo (Camelot) at Peek'n Peak for the weekend of the 22nd so Bailey and family can join us for a skiing and snowboarding weekend.  His birthday weekend request was to go snowboarding but we couldn't rob his parents of the opportunity for participating in such a "first'.  So, we are going to take them along.  We picked up Ellie and Anni for the weekend and, among other things, Nana took them to the Narnia movie.  On Sunday we went to French Creek State Park to hike in the woods and see the beaver lodges and dams.  The lake was frozen so we spent most of the time clearing the snow and slipsliding across the ice.
