Happy New Year
Been recovering since our return home. Craig and Janet came up for New Year's Eve and we played pickleball. It felt good to be active again. They all went to bed around 10 but I stayed up and went over to the Gilchrist village neighborhood driveway party. They dropped the ball and had fireworks. The ball went off early so we celebrated 2 or three times and the fireworks got wet by the golf course sprinklers so, apparently, most of them were set off after most of the people left. New Year's day we all drove down to Lynn's for a party with all the Florida 'niebauers' plus the Quinns who had flown down from Raleigh. They rented a car and are driving back this weekend. You can get great deals because the rental companies need to get the cars back up north after the annual migration to Florida. We stopped off at Grampy's grave in Lakeland with Craig and Janet to wish him a Happy New Year. Today we drove down and back to Craig and Janet's to help him build a backyard shed. I-75 heading north was a parking lot so we came home on back roads.
