Happy New Year

Spent New Year's Eve Day cooking up air fryer delights and trying to use up left-overs as well as cookies and other treats. Stayed up until midnight with Jeff and family to celebrate the new year then right off to bed. We left Jeff's by 8 AM on the first at 10 degrees and arrived at Lumberton before 3. Left Lumberton before 8 the next morning at 17 degrees and arrived home just before 4. Traffic was no problem either day, Traffic was light the first day through DC and was very heavy the second day but moved well. It was 45 when we arrived home, got to 39 overnight, rained this morning and it is now 52. Put the car outside this morning and the wind and rain did a very good job of cleaning off the road grime. We are busy getting caught up and Alesa is putting Christmas away. On the first we ate the southern tradition of black beans at Cracker Barrel and today we ate our tradition of pork and sauerkraut. On our return we also learned that Papayas evidently don't lose their leaves for cold weather. they lose branches (which are probably leaves}.
