Hectic Times
Hectic mostly because we are preparing for our two week river cruise in France with Steve and Laura. There are a number of Covid 'hoops' that need to be jumped through and missing one of them could keep us off the cruise. Both Alesa and I have our boosters and the last test is scheduled. It's a PCR test that needs to be taken within 72 hours of departure. We have to have written confirmation of a negative result so the stress is whether the lab can give us results in time. The ducks are lined up but anything can happen. With all the printing requirements our printer just went South or close to South. It now takes 45 minutes to print a page. We are looking for a new printer. I've had 8 physical therapy sessions with 2 to go to help with my back/hip pain with not much improvement but I am ready to go. Alesa got a epidural steroid shot for her neck today because it started aching again and she didn't want to deal with the pain on our trip. Alesa and I took a 14 mile bike ride with Craig and Janet on Monday which was fun but it added to the aches and pains from digging out the stump of a bush entangled in our irrigation lines the day before. Not complaining because that which doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Been golfing and playing water volleyball as normal and competed in a volleyball tournament last week and finished third out of 12 teams. Got a call from the Ford dealer and our hood is in and they will need the car for two weeks or more to do the work. Scheduling it is complicated because we will be gone for two weeks and they will supply a loaner during the warranty work. Hopefully it can be scheduled while we are gone but for some reason they are balking at having their loaner parked at the airport for two weeks. Doing it after we get back could put a crimp in our holiday travel plans. Both Mike and Jeff as well as Lisa and Danielle have started new jobs in the last month or so and things are hectic in their lives as well. Mike is making a lot of progress and having a lot of 'fun' with his new property which he calls 'Farmer Mike's Farm'. In addition to the upkeep, clean up and new work they have harvested a lot of fruit during the season.
