Had an open day on our calendar so I asked Alesa to go to lunch in Sanford. She had no idea where we were going and expected the worse but was pleasantly surprised when we went to Hollerbach's Willow Tree Café in the historic section of downtown Sanford. It is a highly recommended German restaurant and we both had great meals since we both love German food and beer. She likes to taste it then drink wine. They also let us sample some things we didn't order. Great place! Afterwards we walked around town a bit then went to their German delicatessen. We bought a slice of German chocolate cake and a couple of huge rum balls. We then visited with Betsey in Ormond Beach before coming home through the Ocala National Forest.
