Home Again

September 8, 2011

We left Lampe at around 11 am on Tuesday and arrived home around 6:15 that evening. The weather was clear when we started but we got stuck behind a slow truck for about 50 miles. It got as low as 5 mph up the hills. Once we hit I-80 things sped up considerably and Alesa played Angry Birds all the rest of the way home. We hit rain at Dubois and it rained all the way home. We pulled in front of the driveway and unloaded that evening and the next morning and the trailer was in the storage lot by noon on Wednesday. It is great to be home. On Sunday afternoon we went to Dawson's (Ann & Ed) for a fish fry. All the Bauer cousins were there: Ed & Ann, Frank, Judy & Caitlin and Cathy. We then went over to Bob & Cathy's with the Browns for a holiday get together. On Monday night Bob & Cathy stopped over for a farewell campfire.
