Home for Christmas

December 21, 2018

Alesa had her doctor appointments in preparation for her knee replacement in January and all is ready. I got a couple of crowns to replace the tooth (10) I broke in Europe as well as the tooth (11) next to it which has needed it for a while. After our appointments on Tuesday we went to the Erie Club Christmas party at a local restaurant. Wednesday morning we left for Pennsylvania and spent the night in Lumberton where I picked up the vest I had left there on the return trip from our Thanksgiving visit. Thursday was damp and dismal and the driving around DC has horrendous but we made it. In Laurel, MD we stopped just off I-295 to pick up a couple of bottles of scotch Jeff had ordered online. He wanted a specific scotch and couldn't find it anywhere closer and they couldn't deliver it to Pa. The 'Total Wine' store was at the exit so it was no problem for us to stop. We are now settled in at Jeff's and spending the day preparing for Christmas Eve.
