Home at last

We picked up Jeff at the Savannah airport before noon on Friday and had the trailer ready to travel just after 1PM.  It took a while to determine the best way out of a tight parking spot, execute that plan, drive through the winding campground road to the dump station, dump the holding tanks and  get on the road.   Just as we arrived they raised the drawbridge off the island.  20 minutes later we continued.  We took I-95 almost all the way with stops for fuel, food and breaks.  Traffic wasn't too bad except for the 45 minute drive through an accident scene south of DC.   We spent Friday night in a Virginia rest area and arrived back home just after 2 PM Saturday.  Jeff's family picked him up and we got to visit.  Nana was in her glory, as tired as she was.   It was great to sleep in our own home again.  Mike and the girls are due over late this afternoon.    Will add pictures as we are able.  Oh yea, did I  mention that I broke off a front tooth last night eating pizza.  Makes it hard to smile, which we are.  It is truly a great adventure.  Pain is inevitable but misery is optional.
