Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park

March 12, 2021

Headed over to the Monkey Bar in Homosassa to meet friends from Erie who were staying the month just below Brooksville. I graduated from Prep with Tim Maloney and he and his wife, Cheryl, lived in The Villages and relocated back to Erie last year. We were meeting them at 2:30 for lunch and decided to leave a little early and walk around the Homosassa Springs State Park. As a veteran I have a lifetime Florida state park pass. We stopped at WaWa for our coffee and when we arrived at the park Alesa realized she forgot to bring a hat. We bought a Florida state park bucket hat which she loves so it was a great win-win. It was a beautiful day and it wasn't crowded and most areas were open so we had a very nice walk. Took a lot of pictures because I got a new (to me, second hand from Jeff) phone and wanted to try out the camera. Had a chance to tour around the Homosassa area and toured the Yulee Sugar Mill before meeting the Maloneys for lunch.
