Launch and Vaccine

January 8, 2021

Craig and Janet came up on Monday to launch the rocket. We went up the The Villages polo fields where there is an enormous amount of open space. Alas, we were unsuccessful after many attempts and don't know for sure if it was the old engines, the starters or the batteries. We are guessing the batteries. We then flew the drone for a little while but when we were told we couldn't go on the actual polo grounds themselves we went to the flying field (a utility polo field next door) and watched a few flyers. I will buy some new engines and make sure the batteries are good before we head to Craig's for our next attempt. Or should I say successful launch? January is the month Alesa and I try to complete all of our annual doctor appointments. During our annual general check-up we asked about the vaccine and the doctor commented that she heard that the VA was calling to set them up. Alesa and I see the same doctor and go in at the same time which is nice because I always forget something the doctor told me to do. BTW, we are both in great health except for a few old-people aches and pains. We played water volleyball that afternoon and when we were done I had a message to call the VA. I called back the next day and they scheduled me for the Covid vaccine today. I drove up to the Gainesville VA and got my first shot with the second scheduled for the 28th. Now we continue through the mumbo-jumbo to get Alesa scheduled for hers.
