Craig and Janet's daughter, Kate, and her family are visiting from Austin for a few days and we headed down to Lettuce Lake Park just south of Craig's house. Mike and family came over this morning and they rode with us to the park. Craig put the canoe he built on his truck and he and Janet, Kate and her family and Zachary and his family went down to Lettuce Lake. It is a very nice county park with hiking trails, playgrounds, picnic pavilions, a boardwalk and the Hillsboro river running through it, perfect for Craig's canoe. Everyone had a chance or two to paddle the river and see turtles, little alligators and plenty of birds. There was plenty to do and the kids brought their bikes. And the weather was perfect.
