Marilyn RIP

April 24, 2024

My sister Marilyn passed away on the 16th and we flew to Erie for the funeral and internment. She has been in a lot of pain lately and in palliative care for the last month. Thursday, we flew to Buffalo via Chicago and rented a car for the drive to Erie where we stayed with my brother Bob and his wife Cathy. The memorial was at Brugger's on Friday and was well attended. Got to see many relatives and friends. Many of the grand nieces and nephews we haven't seen since they were babies are now adults. Her urn was buried on Monday at Calvary Cemetery next to our mom and brother Frank. We did a little touring and visiting over the weekend. The weather was very nice and we drove around the Peninsula and had a Blue Moon cone at the Whippy Dip 2. We visited with Annie Freitas for the first time since her husband, Art, died last February. We drove back to Buffalo and returned to Phoenix via DC on Tuesday. It was a long week so we upgraded our return flights to first-class which made the return more relaxing.
