I ran the weekly Gilly games, Alesa paddled and after lunch we drove to Lakeland to celebrate Memorial Day with Lynn & Tony. In addition to the Garifi family and friends, Mary Sue & Jim and Pat & Tracy were there. We had a good time and it was great to catch up. We then stopped at Alesa's dad's grave in Lakeland, not only because it is Memorial Day and he is a veteran, but also because it is the 14th anniversary of his death. At the cemetery, in addition to the flags on each veteran's grave, they have placed 6,805 flags in a memorial to honor each US service member who had died in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. in the big news of the day, our oldest granddaughter, Elyse Hope, turned 15 today, Happy Birthday.
