I wear the monitor for another week and am still on coumadin until they read the results. I had my blood checked on Tuesday morning and picked up the trailer and parked it in front of the house to finish loading it for an early morning departure. If I am still on Coumadin in two weeks, I'll go to a VA in Florida to have it checked and the prescription renewed but I don't expect to be on it that long. We finished loading by 3 and thought, why wait, so we hit the road and spent the night at the Flying-J in Winchester,Va. We left there early the next morning and arrived at the Mayberry Campground in Mt. Airy just after noon. It is a very nice campground and we set up quickly and went into town. It is Andy Griffith's home town and the inspiration for the town of Mayberry and the local residents on "The Andy Griffith Show". They have done a nice job and everyone is so friendly and helpful. We toured the downtown, did some wine tasting and bought a few bottles. Also visited the world's larges open-faced granite mine located about a mile north of downtown. We will be here two nights then head south.
