We arrived in Nashville on Monday the 4th and registered at the Country Campground for 4 nights.  It is crowded because the annual CMA fan fest started downtown yesterday.  There are a lot of stars in town.  We went to dinner with John and Donna Diewald, whom we have not seen since Michael's wedding.  We went to their house the next day and Alesa & Donna went to a quilt show and, when John got home from work , we went downtown.  We ate at Jack's on Broadway and then walked around town.  We saw a lot of private busses and security people, but no stars.   Yesterday we visited Lynchburg and toured Jack Daniel's distillery.  It is made in a dry county so no samples.  To get around the law, when you buy at the gift shop you are buying the decanter and they give you the whiskey.  We went back to John & Donna's for dinner and a celebration of my 60th a few days early.
